Game Of Thrones: The Real-Life Partners Of The GOT Cast

Game of Thrones has never suffered a lack of talented actors and actresses. For as hard as they worked on the show over the years, they deserve the same love everyone else has. Many of them have found love and are now happily dating someone special to them. Here are the Game of Thrones players and their romantic partners.

1.Gwendoline Christie & Giles Deacon

In 2012 Gwendoline Christie began a romantic relationship with Giles Deacon. He is said to be very different from Gwendoline’s characters GOT love, Ser Jaime. Gwendoline and Giles have no more significant supporters than each other. According to Giles, his muse is Gwendoline. She equally admires him and even admits to the world; he is her favorite fashion designer.

On the show, Lannister travels over the Longe Bridge. Fans can have this experience for themselves if they visit Southern Spain. The bridge is in Cordoba and is a must-see site. It dates back to BCE in the early 1st century.

2. Michiel Huisman & Tara Elders

GOT’s Daario was mostly played by Michiel Huisman. The actor has been luckier in love than his character. Both Dutch and both in show business, Michiel and Tara Elders, are quietly dating.

The pair got hitched in 2008, February and had a girl, Hazel Judith Huisman. Tara resigned from acting in 2009 to be a full-time mother.

3.Peter Dinklage & Erica Schmidt

Peter Dinklage’s GOT character was unlucky in love. In real life, he has had much better luck. Peter has been married to Erica since 2005.

Though Erica doesn’t appear on TV, she works as a theater director and playwright. She is well-known for working on All The Fine Boys. Their skills complement each other as Peter would rather be on camera than behind it.

4. Jason Momoa & Lisa Bonet

Season one of GOT was Jason Momoa’s time to shine professionally. He also began to shine personally when he met and hit it off with Lisa Bonet. This was no coincidence. It was a love story that was a long time coming. During the run of The Cosby Show, Jason would watch and admire Lisa. He even joked that he would stalk her until the two finally met. When it did happen, they reportedly fell in love while sharing their taste for grits and Guinness.

The couple now have two children together. They quietly got married sometime in 2017 and continue to live happily. On GOT, Jason’s character was married in Malta. Specifically, the wedding was held at the Azure Window. However, the site is no longer intact. During March of 2017, a powerful storm hit Malta, and it collapsed, landing in the ocean below.

5. Lena Headley & Dan Cadan

Though fans of GOT may not be familiar with Dan Cadan, they all know Lena Headley. She played Cersei Lannister and made the role her own. But her love life has been just as successful as her GOT run.

According to the New York Times, the two met when they were just kids and became childhood friends.  Lena acted in many of Dan’s films before she went on to become his wife and the mother of their daughter. A couple of years ago, Cadan and Headey decided to move from Los Angeles to a small village about 180 miles from London after she finished filming Game of Thrones Season 6.

6. Jonathan Pryce & Kate Fahy

Jonathan Pryce’s GOT character wasn’t able to write himself a love story. But things were different for the actor. He has known his wife, Kate Fahy since the 1970s. Kate was an actress as well, and the two met while working at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, England. The interesting twist in their love story is that at the time they were both in marriages of their own.

However, both marriages were unhappy. So much so that within two weeks, Kate left her husband. Jonathan also left his wife. Kate and Jonathan have been in love ever since. However, their dating relationship lasted until 2015, when they finally got married.

7. Iain Glen & Charlotte Emmerson

Ian Glen sticks out in fans’ minds. Of all the actors that came and went, Ian, appeared in every season. Though his character wasn’t quite lucky in love, in real life, Ian has been. The real-life support of his special someone on TV sent him into the arms of his love when she needed him most.

Charlotte Emerson is a British actress and was away from Ian while he was filming his last GOT appearance. During the filming, he got word that Charlotte had suffered a brain hemorrhage. On-screen love, Emelia Clarke encouraged him to leave the set and go care for her. Ian did, and Charlotte recovered. Since then, the two have happily continued their lives together.

8. Nikolaj & Nukaaka Coster-Waldau

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau may have been involved in incest on GOT, but his real-life love is a much more romantic affair. His wife Nukaaka hails from Greenland. She was previously a Miss Greenland. She then went on to work as a singer and an actress.

She and Nikola have been together for two decades and have resided close to Copenhagen. Despite Nikolaj’s run in GOT, Nukaaka has never even seen one episode of it.

9. Hafthor Julius Bjornsson & Kelsey Henson

Though Hafthor Julius Bjornsson’s GOT character displayed no desire for romance, in real life he is happily married. He met wife Kelsey at the restaurant she was working at. He was dining there, and she was his waitress. She asked him for his autograph, and the rest is history.

Bjornsson, who holds the title of World’s Strongest Man, measuring a huge 6ft 9in tall while his wife Kelsey Henson stands at 5ft 2in.

10. Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas

The most famous couple of the cast may be Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. They have had a more high profile relationship than any other cast members. The two met on Instagram after Joe sent Sophie a direct message. The media has always been interested in their relationship.

The two had to sneak off in Las Vegas and get married on the sly, to avoid interference by the press. There are rumors that they plan to have another wedding ceremony that family and friends will be able to attend. Though Joe was never a part of the show, he was invested in it. He even reportedly chose a GOT inspired Halloween costume. Joe dressed as Sansa Stark, simply to make Sophie happy.

11. Rose Leslie & Kitt Harrington

Rose Leslie and Kitt Harrington were one of the few couples that met and fell in love while filming GOT. When the two started working together on the show, Kitt’s character was not yet the enigma he would later become. His character and Rose’s character started as enemies. With one the captor and the other a prisoner, most people probably didn’t expect the couple to blossom.

This is one case where real life imitated art, as the couple ended up together both onscreen and off-screen, where they got married in 2018. Their wedding took place at a castle similar to what viewers might see on the show. Though in real life, Rose and Kitt ended things; eventually, their characters were with each other until the death of hers. Afterward, many viewers of his role couldn’t be with anyone else after her death.

12. Pilou Asbake & Anna Bro

Despite the darkly disturbing character Pilou Asbake played, he’s desirable in real life. Pilou began dating playwright Anna Bro in 2008, and they have since tied the knot.

Anna is highly successful in her field, having been educated at the Aarhus Theatre in Denmark. Pilou and Anna have one child together; a four-year-old daughter called Agnes.

13. Alfie Allen & DJ Allie Teilz

Even though Alfie Allen’s GOT character never found love, the actor did. He has been with DJ Allie Teilz, a.ka. Allie Teilborg for almost ten years.

The two welcomed their first child in 2018 after a whirlwind romance and have made their relationship public for all to see on Instagram.

14. Aidan Gillan & Camille O’Sullivan

Aidan Gillan’s character on GOT may be more like him than anyone else. Both the character and the actor have an air of mystery about them. Aidan’s real-life relationship with Camille O’Sullivan is one he doesn’t speak of much.

He and the Irish born actress and singer lead a low profile life. All that is public knowledge about the couple is that it took a long time for Camille to be comfortable having Aidan in her life.

15. Iwan Rheon & Zoe Grisedale

Iwan Rheon was one of the most hated characters. In real life, at least one person loves him. For an undisclosed amount of time, he has been dating Zoe Grisedale. Like Iwan, Zoe is an actress.

16. Carice Van Houten & Guy Pearce

Carice Van Houten’s GOT character always had her own relationship agenda. In real life, she is happy with Guy Pearce. Both are actors, she is Dutch, and he is Australian. Since they have been dating, Carice has been learning English for Guy.

The former Neighbours star, 50, said he was heartbroken when fans labeled him a ‘bastard’ for assuming he left his 51-year-old wife psychologist Kate Mestitz, for Carice, 41.

17. Jacob Anderson & Aisling Loftus

Jacob Anderson’s GOT love story may be better than real life. His girlfriend is Aisling Loftus, an actress best known for War and Peace. They have never shared any aspect of their relationship with the public.

18. Stephen Dillane & Naomi Wirthner

While onscreen, Stephen Dillane’s character wasn’t exactly faithful; in real life, he is devoted to girlfriend Naomi Wirthner. The two are in a relationship that began blossoming in 1988.

They share a passion for show business, as Naomi works as a director and actress. The longtime couple has two children together. His son, Frank Stephenson Dillane is an English actor, known for his portrayal of Nick Clark on Fear the Walking Dead, and for playing Tom Riddle in the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

19. Nathalie Emmanual & Alex Lanipekun

Nathalie Emmanaul fell in love with GOT and real life. She is dating Alex Lanipekun. As a British actor, Alex is known for his role in Spooks, a BBC show. Also known for his roles in Troy: Fall of a City and Homeland.

20. Sean Bean & Ashley Moore

During the one season where Sean Bean appeared on GOT, fans came to love him. In real life, Ashley Moore did the same thing. In 2015, after four previous marriages, Bean married Ashley.

They have been a couple since they met at a pub in North London. The two got along with each other right away, even though Ashley is younger than Sean by 26 years. They do share a common passion, as Ashley has previous career experience as an actress.
