LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) – The red carpet for the 92nd Academy Awards is underway and (like the rain) the fashion is pouring in.
Billy Porter has graced us yet again with another stunning number, mixing patterns, gold ruffles and more, but does it top last year’s
barrier-breaking tuxedo gown
? Also spotted on Hollywood’s biggest night is the “1917” acting duo of George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman in a pair of smart suits, and presenter Zazie Beetz. They weren’t the only male duo to grace the carpet as “Irishman” stars Robert De Niro and Al Pacino both kept it classic in two stylish suits.
Award-worthy trends include lots and lots of pink! Idina Menzel, Regina King, Laura Dern and Molly Sims all wore the blushing tone tonight. Menzel stunned in a hot pink gown while King rocked a Versace gown in a lighter color of the hue. Glitz and sparkle was also a huge hit on the carpet as Rene Zellweger, Brie Larson, Sandra Oh and Janelle Monáe all looked dazzling on the carpet thanks to their radiant gowns.
There were a few gowns that stood out among the rest thanks to their bright colors including Mindy Khaling’s brilliant yellow dress and Florence Pugh’s blazing teal gown with matching heels. Leonardo Dicaprio, Alfie Allen, James Corden and Quentin Tarintino all kept it simple with their classic black suits as they strolled the carpet.

with co-host Issa Rae. Billie Eilish, who is attending the ceremony as a performer rocked Chanel gloves and her signature green roots. Speaking of accessories, do check out America Ferrera’s glittering headband and Julia Butters’ sparkling purse.
A somber tribute was director Spike Lee’s purple and yellow tux worn in honor of the late Lakers star, and Oscar winner, Kobe Bryant . Natalie Portman also took a chance to make a statement on the carpet with her cape featuring the embroidered names of all the women directors not nominated this year.
