Michael Bay and Ryan Reynolds to Team Up for Netflix Movie
The streaming service will co-finance the film, which has a budget of nearly $125 million, according to Variety. ‘Six Underground’ is now the biggest budget movie for Netflix to date, passing ‘The Irishman’ which was made for $106 million. This is Bay’s first time working with Netflix and is the biggest director to work with the streaming service yet.
The film was written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who both wrote both ‘Deadpool’ films. Variety reports that the film will go into production this summer and is slated for a 2019 release.
