Women whose body clocks mean they are “morning people” have a lower risk of developing breast cancer, say UK researchers.
A new study found that women who are early risers had a 40% lower risk of breast cancer. Women who slept longer than 7-8 hours a night had a 20% increased risk of breast cancer for each additional hour slept. More than 409,000 women participated in the study.
It was conducted by the Cancer Research U.K. Integrative Cancer Epidemiology Program at the University of Bristol. Rebecca Richmond, research fellow, via ‘CBS News’ Cliona Clare Kirwan, NCRI Breast Clinical Studies Group, via ‘CBS News’
