20 Years Later: The Cast of The Nanny – Where Did They Go?
And even though it’s been a quarter of a century since the show first debuted, fans still find themselves bowing over in laughter each time they watch a rerun.
What made the show such a big hit was its memorable characters, all of whom have since taken very different directions in their lives.
Let’s take a quick look at the cast and where they are now:
Maxwell Sheffield Played by Charles Shaughnessy
Although he’s spent much of his life in politics, especially during the last Presidential campaign (2016) in which he campaigned for Hillary Clinton, Shaughnessy has also continued his acting career.
Up until 2016, he starred in Days of Our Lives and last year he played a part in the movie Moontrap Target Earth.
C.C. Babcock Played by Lauren Lane
She left behind her movie acting career way back in 2001, but she hasn’t completely left the acting industry.
She now lives in Austin and teaches theater acting.
Brighton Sheffield Played by Benjamin Salisbury
After starring in The Nanny, Salisbury changed his career path by studying journalism.
You won’t find him in any recent shows or movies. In fact, it’s been about a decade since he has starred in anything.
Fran Fine Played by Fran Drescher
Most people don’t realize that Drescher was in her mid-thirties when The Nanny first debuted. As an outspoken survivor of uterine cancer, she spends her time advocating for the Cancer Schmancer Movement, which she founded.
One of her latest entertainment jobs was doing voice acting in The 7D, a show produced by Disney.
Yetta Rosenberg Played by Ann Morgan Guilbert
You won’t find Guilbert playing in any recent movies or shows because Grandma Yetta left this world behind back in June of 2016. She did, however, continue her acting career in a variety of entertainment venues for all of her life.
